1. Our Commitment to Responsible Play
For most people, predicting the outcome of a sporting event with friends is a fun, social form of entertainment. For some, however, what starts as recreation can become a problem with serious consequences for the player, their family, and those around them.
Rabbet is a peer-to-peer social sweepstakes platform. We are not a sportsbook, a casino, or a real-money gambling operator. Our players never need to spend money to participate or to win, and Rabbet Cash is awarded through free Alternative Methods of Entry. Even so, we recognize that any platform built around predicting sports outcomes can be misused by individuals struggling with problem play behaviors. We take that seriously.
Our commitment is simple: we want play on Rabbet to stay fun, social, and in your control. To that end, we provide tools to help you set limits, take breaks, and exclude yourself from the platform if you need to. We provide resources to help you find professional support if you want it. And we work to identify problem play behaviors so that we can intervene appropriately, including by reaching out to players who appear to be at risk.
1.1 Healthy Play Habits
Whether you play on Rabbet or anywhere else, a few habits help keep play in a healthy place:
- Set a budget for entertainment spending and stick to it. Never spend more than you can comfortably afford to lose.
- Set a time limit for play sessions. Use the in-app time limits if it helps.
- Treat play as entertainment, not as a way to make money or recover losses.
- Don't play when you are under the influence of alcohol or other substances, when you are recovering from any form of dependency, or when you are emotionally distressed.
- Take regular breaks. Step away when play stops being fun.
- Talk to someone you trust if you are concerned about your own play, or about the play of someone you care about.
2. Recognizing Problem Play Behaviors
Problem play is generally defined as a pattern of play that compromises, disrupts, or damages personal, family, or vocational pursuits. Common warning signs, drawn from the National Council on Problem Gambling and clinical research, include:
- Increasing preoccupation with play — thinking about the next session frequently, planning around it, or being unable to focus on other things.
- Needing to spend more money or more time playing to feel the same level of excitement.
- Restlessness or irritability when trying to cut back or stop.
- "Chasing losses" — returning to the platform to try to win back what was previously lost.
- Continuing to play despite mounting negative consequences in finances, relationships, work, or health.
- Lying to family members or others about the extent of play.
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund play.
- Feeling guilt, shame, or anxiety about play behavior.
If any of these patterns sound familiar, whether they describe you or someone you care about, you are not alone, and help is available. The Gamblers Anonymous 20 Questions self-assessment is one widely used screening tool: gamblersanonymous.org.
3. Responsible Play Tools
Rabbet provides the following tools to help you manage your play. All tools are accessible from the Responsible Play section of your User profile within the Rabbet app.
3.1 Player Limits
You may set personal limits on the following activities. Limits take effect immediately upon being set and may be reduced (made more restrictive) at any time. To increase or remove a limit, you must wait until the current limit period expires.
- Deposit Limit — a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on the amount you may spend on Rabbet Karrots purchases. Limits operate on a rolling period. For example, if you reach your weekly limit on a Tuesday at 9:00 PM, you cannot make another purchase until 9:01 PM the following Tuesday.
- Making Offers Limit — a cap on the total value of Offers you may create within a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Useful for keeping your overall stake activity in check.
- Max Offer Limit — a cap on the maximum value of any single Offer you may create. Reductions to this limit take effect immediately.
- Time Limit — a daily cap on the maximum number of hours you may spend logged in to the Rabbet Service. Once you reach the limit, you will be logged out and cannot log back in until the limit period resets.
When you have any active limit in place, Rabbet will not send you marketing or promotional communications. We do not want our marketing to undermine the limits you have chosen to set for yourself.
3.2 Cool-Off Period
A Cool-Off Period temporarily blocks your access to the Rabbet Service for a duration you choose, between 3 and 365 days. During a Cool-Off Period:
- You will not be able to log in to your User Account or play any Games.
- Any pending Offers will be allowed to settle in the ordinary course; no new Offers may be created.
- You may still withdraw any redeemable Rabbet Cash balance by contacting customer support, subject to the standard verification process described in our Terms of Use.
- Your account will become available again automatically once the Cool-Off Period ends. You do not need to take any action to reactivate.
- Cool-Off Periods set with Rabbet apply only to the Rabbet Service. They do not apply to any other platform.
3.3 Self-Exclusion
Self-Exclusion is a longer-term tool. When you self-exclude:
- You will be excluded from accessing the Rabbet Service for the period you select.
- Any pending Offers will be cancelled and the related stakes returned to your account balance.
- Any redeemable Rabbet Cash balance may be withdrawn by contacting customer support, subject to the standard verification process.
- During the self-exclusion period, you will not be able to use your User Account for any reason.
- Once a self-exclusion is in place, it cannot be shortened. It can only be ended after the selected period expires.
- Reinstatement after a self-exclusion period requires a contact with our account management team and a determination that reinstatement is consistent with company policy.
We strongly encourage anyone considering self-exclusion to also seek support from one of the resources listed in Section 9 of this Policy.
3.4 Closing Your User Account
If you wish to stop using Rabbet entirely, you may close your User Account from the Settings page within the Rabbet app or by emailing support@rabbetgaming.com. Closing your account is permanent. Any unredeemed Rabbet Cash balance may be withdrawn before closure, subject to verification; any Rabbet Karrots balance is forfeited upon closure, as Karrots have no monetary value and exist solely for free-to-play use within the Service.
3.5 Activity History and Transaction Records
A complete record of your purchases, AMOE awards, Offer activity, and redemptions is available at any time within the Financial Information section of your User profile. Reviewing your own activity history is one of the simplest and most effective ways to understand your play patterns and make informed choices.
3.6 Third-Party Blocking Software
If you would like to block your own access to gaming and play platforms across multiple sites and devices, the following independent tools are available:
- BetBlocker — a free, anonymous tool maintained by a UK-based charity. Once installed, BetBlocker blocks access to over 90,000 gambling and play websites and apps across iOS, Android, and desktop browsers. The block cannot be removed until the period you select expires.
- Gamban — a paid subscription service offering comprehensive blocking across devices.
If your household includes a minor, we additionally recommend installing parental control software (such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, or Apple Screen Time / Google Family Link) to prevent unauthorized access to play platforms.
4. Preventing Underage Play
The Rabbet Service is intended for use by adults aged twenty-one (21) or older, or the local minimum legal age of majority, whichever is higher. We take the following measures to deter and detect underage use:
- Our Terms of Use require all Users to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. By creating a User Account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
- Marketing materials, advertising, and in-app messaging communicate the legal age requirement clearly.
- We do not feature any individual who is, or who appears to be, younger than the legal age in our marketing or in-app content.
- Identity verification is performed at redemption through a third-party identity-verification provider, which is designed to detect any User who is below the age requirement.
- Personnel in customer-facing roles are trained to recognize and escalate any indication that a User may be underage.
- We will close the User Account and void any Virtual Credits balance of any User identified as being below the age requirement.
If a household member under twenty-one has access to a device used to access Rabbet, we encourage account holders to use parental control software (Net Nanny, Qustodio, Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, or similar) to prevent unauthorized access. Account holders are responsible for the use of their User Accounts, including any unauthorized use by minors who gain access through the account holder's device or credentials.
5. Staff Training and Player Outreach
Personnel in customer-facing roles — including customer support, payments operations, and account management — receive training in:
- Recognizing the warning signs of problem play described in Section 2 of this Policy;
- Responding compassionately and without judgment to Users who reach out for help or who exhibit signs of problem play;
- Explaining the responsible-play tools available within the Rabbet Service;
- Directing Users to the resources listed in Section 9 of this Policy; and
- Escalating concerns to senior personnel where appropriate, including for circumstances that may warrant a proactive welfare contact with a User.
Our personnel will act in good faith in response to questions or disclosures from Users. Where a User states that they may have a problem with play, our personnel will offer responsible-play tools and resources without pressuring the User. We do not impute knowledge of a problem to the Company in any other manner. We ask all Users to be honest with themselves and with us if they feel that play is becoming a problem — the sooner that conversation happens, the more options are available.
6. Marketing and Advertising Standards
Rabbet conducts its marketing and advertising in compliance with applicable federal and state standards and consistent with industry-recognized responsible-play principles. Specifically, Rabbet:
- Does not make unfair or deceptive claims, and does not make misleading statements regarding the probabilities of winning, losing, or earning rewards;
- Does not depict play as a path to financial success, debt relief, or solving personal problems;
- Does not target marketing at minors and does not feature any individual who is, or who appears to be, under the minimum legal age;
- Does not target marketing at Users who have set responsible-play limits, who have entered a Cool-Off Period, or who have self-excluded;
- Includes the National Problem Gambling Helpline number (1-800-MY-RESET) on responsible-play communications and on the Rabbet website and apps; and
- Reviews advertising materials before publication for compliance with this Policy and applicable law.
7. Informed Decisions About Play
Rabbet endorses the principle that players should be able to make informed decisions about their play. To support this:
- Game rules and Offer mechanics are described in clear, plain language within the Service.
- Settlement of Offers based on real-world sporting events is determined by reference to a third-party data provider, not by Rabbet, eliminating any ability for Rabbet to manipulate outcomes.
- Each User's complete activity history is available within the Financial Information section of the User profile.
- Where Promo Offers and other promotional campaigns are conducted, the Official Rules disclose eligibility requirements, prize structure, odds where calculable, and the method of winner selection.
8. Privacy
Rabbet handles personal information, including information related to your use of the responsible-play tools, in accordance with the Rabbet Privacy Policy. Information about your use of responsible-play tools is treated as sensitive and is accessed only by personnel with a documented need-to-know.
